Wattbike .dat to Garmin .tcx file converter

We have just built a small tool for (serious) cyclists who own both a Wattbike and a Garmin bike computer. The tool converts Wattbike sessions into Garmin TCX format, for upload onto Garmin Connect.

The tool is free to use, and although has a very small potential audience, is already proving very useful in this office.

You can see the tool here:

    Great tool !

But garmin connect states that the converted .tcx file isn’t approved !?

    What goes wrong ?

I did the .dat file procedure as described at the tool instruction.

Can you help me out ?

    Many thanx in advance.

Your Watt Bike to Garmin file converter is excellent. Thank you.

One little bug I have noticed is that I use Safari on a Mac.

The resulting file that your converter prides looks like its extension should be a .tcx file

Instead it seems to produce a file name ending in .tcx.xml

Strava and Garmin Connect won’t recognise the file unless you rename it and delete the .xml extension.

Not a real problem but might confuse and defeat some users. Thought you might find this useful.

Thank you for putting up the converter.

    Dermot
